PROENERGY Awarded AeroAdvantage Project by Nevada Cogen Associated #2

SEDALIA, MO (June 18, 2021) – PROENERGY announced that it was selected by Nevada Cogeneration Associates #2 and successfully executed a planned outage for a 1X LM2500 Gas Generator at their Black Mountain facility. PROENERGY was performing a planned outage on an LM2500 Gas Generator. Additionally, Nevada Cogen #2 contracted with PROENERGY for an unplanned outage that brought about a need for a lease engine to minimize downtime.

NCA2 is a fully contracted, 85 MW natural gas-fired Qualifying Facility that sells 100% of its electric output to Nevada Power under the terms of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement.

“NCA2 had an emergency shutdown due to a cracked turbine mid-frame flange. PROENERGY Field Services’ team was on-site within 24 hours and swapped their existing unit with a lease engine which minimized NCA2’s downtime” said John Stevens, PROENERGY’s Senior Vice President AeroAdvantage.
