ProEnergy Sponsors Show-Me BEST Robotics Competition
ProEnergy Services recently had the honor of serving as corporate sponsor of the
Show-Me BEST (Boosting Engineering Science and Technology) BUGS!
competition. The event took place October 22 at State Fair Community College in
Sedalia. Thirteen Missouri and Illinois teams made up of middle school and high
school students competed.
Partnering with SFCC and other area businesses, ProEnergy’s sponsorship
helped provide funds for the kits that students used to build their robots. With
guidance from Engineers and technical professionals from local industries,
students gained hands-on experience designing, building and marketing their
robots. The experience taught students to work as a team while expanding skills
in math, engineering and problem-solving.
BEST Robotics, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer based organization that sponsors
the nationwide robotics. BEST strives to help students become competent and
confident in skills that will help them conquer real world challenges now and in
the future. State Fair Community College is Missouri’s only hub site for the
sports-like science and engineering-based robotics competition.
