PROENERGY Sponsors Emergency Blood Drive

SEDALIA, MO (April 3, 2020) - National blood supplies are at an all-time low across the United States. While the American Red Cross sponsored blood drives continue to be cancelled amid the coronavirus outbreak, PROENERGY answered the call by making the decision to step up and sponsor an employee blood drive to combat the emergency need.

A March 17, 2020, press release from the American Red Cross noted that to date, nearly 2,700 of its blood drives have been canceled across the country due to concerns about congregating at workplaces, college campuses and schools amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
With short notice, the American Red Cross Blood Drive was set up on the PROENERGY campus Thursday, March 26, 2020, where 26 employees donated by giving blood to help save lives amid the worldwide pandemic. All necessary precautions were made to ensure the donors, staff and donations were safe.

“It is humbling to see our workforce so ready to step up at a moment’s notice in order to make a difference in the lives of others,” said PROENERGY CEO, Jeff Canon.
